HOW BIG CAN YOU GO

so about 8 months ago i bought new tires and rims for my FR-S. I decided to go with the 17x8 nerburgring TSW's and slapped some 2254517 michlin pilot sport as+ all around. My question is how big can I go size wise.... keep in mind that the dealer only recomends going up to 2354017. :happy0180:

Depends, how bad you looking to ruin the handling?

235 is perfect, go anymore and it's just for looks.

Which size are u asking about?

IE:

Do u mean the biggest diameter rim?

Do u mean the widest rim?

Do u mean the widest tire?

Do u mean the widest tire on that rim?

We're running 255/40/17s all around on 17x9 +38s. Works great on track and in the mtns.

I have 255/40/17 Z1 Starspecs on my 17x8 rpf1s. It's not ideal, but the starspecs have really stiff sidewalls so it still works. I wouldn't try it on any other tire.

With 17x8s biggest I would do is 245/40/17 which is closest to the OEM in diameter. You CAN fit a 255 but it's a waste.

Here's what the stock 215 looks like on my 17x8. It's stretched but not bad. Ride quality is still very good. I'm going with 225/45 when they're worn out.
