Steering wheel 86 badge

I just found this little item on ebay. Seems like it only works on the jdm airbag. But it looks like it might have the possiblility of being nice... Just thought you guys might like it.

Here's the link:

Hmm.. I really like this. I wonder how much of a fit it would be on an FR-S?

Won't that chunk of metal do some damage when the air bag goes off and it fly's at your face?

Ive looked at it SEVERAL times...and it appears to have a smaller diameter then the Scion logo...so it wont work on the US spec wheel. Only have 1 option to retain the US wheel and not have Scion badge. And that is get a toyota emblem from something with a black wheel and add it in like others have.

As for that thing hitting you in the face. Its probably not a heavy metal...its more then likely aluminum, and the airbag COVER what you see as the airbag flaps out of the way when the ACTUAL airbag deploys.

Just dont hit anything and you wont have to worry about airbags going off, plus if you have an 86 reverse indent on your head, what better way to represent

Just a guess, but would a Jdm airbag not throw a code? Or even possibly have a different pinout?

They have different detonators (jdm/USDM) but all you have to do is swap the detonator itself and you're good to go.

I'm not sure about the code though.

They don't ship it with the charge u use your old one. Like ego said...there's a few nuts that hold it into the airbag...simple swap.
