If I were the head-bubba at Nissan....
I'd be working on a refreshed 240Z. Stay close to the original, keep the Star-Trek reject prop designers away from it and I bet they'd sell tons of them.

Agreed. They need to pump out something small and lightweight. Either a successor to the 240SX to supplement the 370Z or the next 370Z needs to be simplified and taken back to it's roots. Less weight, less power, less chunk, less money!
Competition does nothing but improve the breed and the BRZ/FRS needs competition ![]() I'm looking at you too Honda

I've got hopes for that. Only problem is they don't know how to make anything that's not super heavy.

Problem (for NISSAN ) is that FRS beat them to the punch! I drove the 240Z when it was new, and the Toyobaru Twins are the modern incarnation of that car right down to the crunchy gear-change. About the same weight also.

Shouldn't this be in the "Other Vehicles" section?
I don't care if Nissan or Honda come out with a similar coupe. The FR-S is nearly perfect for me as it is. I can't imagine an inline 4 Nissan being that much better.

Nissan should release a 280z that splits the difference between the 370z and FR-S.
FR-S: 2750 lbs | 200 hp, 2.0L H4 | 2+2 coupe -- $25k 280z: 2900 lbs | 270 hp, 2.8L I6 | 2 seat coupe -- $30k 370z: 3250 lbs | 332 hp, 3.7L V6 | 2 seat coupe -- $36k (w/sport pack)

Damn, all ugly. What's wrong with the looks of the original? That's what's so cool about the FR-S, it has those lines that are too far from a classic.
