JDM 86 head lights

I am bidding on a pair of used JDM HID 86 head lights from the Japan Yahoo auctions.

They will be brought back end of July, thinking someone probably wants a pair. If not I will try to put it on my car, sell my BRZ head lights.

I will sell em for about $750 a pair to local guys if you want em.

are they adjusted for the left-hand drive cars? I.E. beam in the borrow pit?

If you can get them here, I'll pay the 750. Pretty sure that'll be more affordable than a dealer option from the 10 series (IF they even sell them to non-10 series owners)

edit: oh yes, need EDM spec. >_<

JDM = No good for US roads.
EDM = Good for US roads.

bringing this back from the dead @BRZPDX. perhaps the projectors can be retrofitted to be LHD? would be awesome if you can get another set of jdm headlights for cheap. looks like US dealerships are charging 4k for a set.

JDM headlights will blind all the drivers. Get the 10 series and save yourself the trouble.

The difference is in the projectors right? So in theory, changing the projectors to a LHD style would make the headlights usable for LHD?

Someone posted in a thread somewhere about dealerships charging 4grand for the headlights. It's already 2 grand for EDM/JDM through vendors.

Also, someone retrofitted G37 projectors into the housing. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=40414

I spoke with MotoP in Vegas, he said the JDM ones aren't bad at all regarding blinding on coming traffic. I saw about 5 sets in Vegas. You can adjust them a little bit as well. The only thing the German spec EDM ones that I really liked was that you can have 2 drl settings, super bright and normal.

I'll keep an eye out for a used 86 set. If we can find someone that speaks German, that will be ideal.

You'll need a 10 series vin to order parts. I believe the only part someone snuck from the 10 series was an extra glowing shift knob.

JDM HID arent bad...its the JDM projectors that are non HID that have a super high flare. The EDM ones would be best in all honesty...changing out the projectors is another option

I'll see when they arrive. I already have buyers for my brz head lights as well, and with the Toms tail lights, the boomerang matches better imo.. First world problems
