What's the best place near the OC to purchase a BRZ?

I just got quoted an msrp 31,579.00 plus tax and license from Irvine Subaru for a Limited manual.

Have you been searching on cars.com and autotrader?

If you are willing to drive a bit (an hour or two) you can expand your search range (and cost savings) tremendously.

If you still can't find a good deal close by, there is always the Colorado to CA purchase/ship option via Heuberger Motors:

I live in San Diego County, bought from Heuberger in Colorado Springs. I bought a Limited MT for just under $26k before taxes/fees. Shipping was $725. Get in touch with Clint, tell him you're from the FT86 forum and he'll get you hooked up.

Irvine tried to have their way with me as well last month. Don't even try Irvine or South Coast Subaru, ESPECIALLY South Coast Subaru, as they are shady. They will change numbers on you right before you sign the paperwork (as I was planning to lease it).

Yes, ask for Clint, when I worked with him it felt like working with a good friend. Heuberger's prices are really good, no point in haggling lower.

For that price $31579 I will sell you a BRZ with 1500 miles on it, after I drive it back from Colorado for you.

No tax. You save!!!

All jokes aside, I am getting the same car you're getting for under $27K, picking it up in about 4 weeks.
After CA tax is factored in, I'm paying a hair over $30100.

Another vote for Clint at Heuberger Motors in Colorado Springs. I just bought mine from there. Great to deal with, no surprises, and a great price. I shopped around here in California. I'm almost glad the dealerships around here were asking over MSRP. If they had been willing to go a little under MSRP I might not have started looking around elsewhere and would have spent a lot more than I did.

BTW that's not "MSRP" at all.

I hope that "MSRP" includes every imaginable accessory on the car. Fully loaded it should be $29xxx MSRP.

ah yeah I know... it was a cut and paste from that dealer. i did just reserve one yesterday though. Thoughts from everyone? (cut from an email)

2013 Subaru BRZ 2.0 Limited
Satin White Pearl with Dark Gray (almost black) Interior
It's extra window sticker accessories installed by Subaru are as follows:
Cargo Tray $72
Wheel Locks $51
Rear Bumper Applique $92

$28,265 Vehicle Itself
$215 ACCESSORIES
$80 Document Fee
$2284.80 Sales Tax (Based on 8.0%)
$29 DMV Electronic Filing Fee
$8.75 CA Tire Fee
$285 Plates and Reg for the year

$31,167.55 Total Out the Door.

That sounds reasonable... Sounds like I still might save more going with Clint though? Is that right?

It's a good deal for SoCal, but better deals are out there if willing to work with out of state dealers and have the patience for shipping and/or driving. If the car is exactly what you want and you have to have it now, then go for it, either way you will be happy in the long run.

Which dealer is this from? Keep in mind that mark ups for the cars are NOT listed on their sites. FYI I've seen irvine put an additional 7500 on their cars

I used Truecar to get this price, so I don't think they'll mark it up after the fact. Stranger things have happened though!

Does anybody have Clint's email? I can't rightly step out of the office for a call ATM, but I noticed a similarly configured car is in stock and I'd like to shoot him an email asap
