I guess no one has brought the complete kit. The reason I ask is because I live in California and I'm more on the conservative side. I've seen some member posted they got 26mpg in avg w/ Vortech SC w/ custom tune. I wonder if other members w/ the Vortech tune would get different numbers.

You're not going to notice any difference unless you like to get on it hard and often.

I'm curious about this as well. Just how much does the parasitic drag of the SC decrease mpg? I'd expect to lose at least 1 mpg even if driven for max mpg.

Probably 1-2 mpg. Hardly noticeable.

As stated above it's really gonna come down to your foot and the gas pedal. I have the vortech kit with perrin's tune and i'm seeing about 23-25mpg. That's not at all that great but I do tend to get on it quite a bit and the only time I really drive my car is my 10min drive every morning to work which is nothing but stoplights. On the highway I can still maintain above 30mpg as long as i'm driving conservatively.

I lost 2-3 mpg after changing my stock tires to re11's (29mpg). Then after vortech complete kit install with no other mods I dropped down to 23mpg

@Mersd, so you dropped around 6mpg w/ the kit. What local/hwy ratio is your daily driving?

We were seeing 29mpg in our company FR-S on a recent trip to Vegas. That is mostly highway of course. With street driving and "spirited" driving, your results may vary.

It's really the way I drive that's killing my mpg. It's not my dd so it's mostly driving to car meets, canyon runs, and track. At wot the actual mpg drops to 3. I guess if I shift at 3k rpm I could get 29 mpg but that's when the fun starts.
