Rear Fog lights question!
So I have a US frs that I got in November of last year. As far as I know people have been saying that the American rear Fog light assembly is just a reflector. I just happened to go underneath the car yesterday and noticed that I have wiring connected to the rear Fog lights and the bulbs are inside the housing. I'm just wondering if everyone else is on the same page. Because I've read in other rear Fog light posts that people are drilling in holes to put in the housing for lights for the American frs. But mine already has the lighting amd wiring pre installed. I do not have the front fog lights so I'm just confused as to why mine has the wiring and lighting already there and why others don't. Please let me know how everyone else's frs setup is as I would love to use the pre wiring to get those lights hooked up.

If you are talking about converting the rear triangle shaped defelector into a functional brake light or running light then yes its possible somehow your car is already setup for it. When I had mine installed it was pretty much ready to be piggybacked into the electrical for the other 3 brake lights. as far as a hole being there already ehh idk about that

Sure you aren't referring to the reverse lights?

All the three lights in the picture have bulbs in them. I know the white ones have the wiring but I'd have to double check on the middle red triangle because I can't remember but I'll post up the picture tonight. Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk 2 |

Never heard of the factory coming with the pre-wired or bulb inside the red triangle unless they mistakenly installed the JDM version, which is a mod or upgrade. Take a pic of under the lights.

The clear lights are the reverse lights. The red triangle is what's known as the fog light or 4th brake light I'm our case. From what I know you have to cut open the center circle that is sealed pertaining to the middle triangle and then connect to the drivers side brake light I believe.

You have bulbs/wires in the reverse, but not the red. So yours is wired the same as everyone else's FRS.
