Palomares Road Mercedes flipped

Saw a flipped Mercedes coupe on Palomares as I drove home today. Badly crunched on the front. People who don't know the road will lose it on the corner heading West from Niles Canyon, right before the houses start. Saw a 911 in the ditch there once too.

ouch. We were just talking today about how some of the guys who used to ride motorcycles used to frequent Palomares until some of the residents started throwing dirt and rocks on parts of the road to discourage them. Don't know if you know anything about that... but it seems to not be an issue anymore. But hope the driver was ok and hope it doesn't mean more unwanted attention in that area, it's a fun little drive I like to take all the time.

I seriously doubt anybody on Palomares or anywhere else would throw dirt on the road on purpose. There are places where rocks and dirt wash into the road. There's also a driveway where the county, state, and other agencies are being pains in the ass to the owner and stopping the grading/work that needs to be done to stop the mess. We've had construction so dirt washes onto the road all the time. It's just the way things happen sometimes. I think your moto friends are paranoid. Course many bikers wear iron crosses and Nazi helmets while stockpiling guns.

None of us much care about bikers either way unless their driving slowly and won't get out of the way. The same thing can be said for the douchebag in the Ferrari in front of me the other day. Bicyclists are annoying, but they're annoying anywhere on this planet. They think they occupy a higher plane of existence. Half of them ride like Mormons, side by side. The worst are people in Porsches and raised trucks. Any man who buys a Porsche thinks he is Parnelli Jones, even if he has no clue about where he's going. Any man in a raised pickup thinks he has testicles the size of bowling balls and won't get out of the way for nobody, even if he has ten miles to go. They're a bunch of Gandalf mofos riding the center divider. "You shall not pass!" Douches.

Me? When I'm going slow, be it in the van or with junk in the trunk, I go for about three hundred feet to make sure the person on my tail isn't just there as a fluke. Then I pull over.
