Valenti Japen LED Reverse Tailight USDM Wiring
First off thanks @DaBrz @Perihelion and who ever I forgot that gave instructions on how to wire these puppies!
1) Follow tutorials on how to remove reverse light and wire through valenti. ![]() 2)Wired before wiring foglight and break light ![]() 3) Cut the weathering strip (optional.. i like to give myself a bit of wiggle room) ![]() 4)I decided to use these instead of soldering.. you might want to get to get a higher gauge a little to big but will work ![]() 5)I tapped into the left light, go ahead and remove part of weathering ![]() 6) Gauge wire 16 that i have from previous project ![]() 7)Tap blue and red wire from Valenti (I wanted to keep stock wires stock) ![]() 8)From harness section.. I decided to "double" up the break wire and use it .. I avoided soldering ![]() 9)I'm a bit anal so I cleaned the wires up, left a little slack incase i need it in the future ![]() ![]() 10) Finished product ![]()

Ok so bit confused you have red wire "long" from valenti reverse lamp tapped into the blue of valenti tail light, where is this other wire tapped to and from??
I hooked red valenti rev light to blue valenti tail light left and nothing but reverse works? |

Those connectors will corrode your wires eventually

I don't get it, the both the red and blue valenti wires are tapped to the same 16 gauge wire?? Or did you cut the gauge wire and splice tehm seperately??

I appreciate the help but like I said I have the JDM one and the colors are different. I need to know which one is the running light off the Valenti Tail Light so I can correct whatever connection is wrong, this video doesn't really tell me that

I somehow got the 'v' bar working when I'm in reverse but the triangle light area isn't working. When I tap the brakes, the 'v' and triangle doesn't light up hahaha I found this on the ijdm website that looks useful. I haven't tried it yet. http://store.ijdmtoy.com/Valenti-Sty...tion-a/617.htm Hope this helps! |

any idea how this reverse light needs to be wired to use it as just a reverse light, and make the " V " light up with running lights but no triangle light (no fog or brake)? I already installed it and i think i will have to remove the lamp and take it apart. Its a real PITA to remove though since i have to take off my rear diffuser and pull muffler hangers just to get it out.
