For those who don't have armrests in their FRS
Which I presume is a majority, how comfortable are you without it? I've had the frs for a few weeks now but I just can't find a good driving position. Resting my right arm on the driver side door is also a pain since our seats are so low. I've tried driving at the 3 and 9 position. What are your comfortable driving preferences?

I'm pretty comfortable in the driver seat. Left arm rests on the door. Right arm generally sits on the hard plastic but it doesn't bother me. Most of the time my right arm is busy shifting.

Yea it doesn't bother me. But I'm looking at the oem armrest as it would be kinda nice on long trips and I hate the tacky center console...
My right arm is usually either on the wheel or the stick though |

I'm happy without one although I thought I'd want one.

I knocked up one of these quickly yesterday from materials which I had lying around at home.
Works great for me. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15663

The first few times I got in the car I thought I would need to come up with something for an arm rest but I really haven't even thought about it since. That was about 18,000 miles ago. Don't need it, don't want it...

None of my cars ever had a center armrest, so I don't miss it. I either have my right hand on the wheel (at 6 o'clock) or I have my right arm in my lap. Come to think of it, I don't really use the rest on the door either.*

I normally drive with my left hand - elbow resting on the door armrest. Not having a center armrest wasn't a big deal but now that I have one it's a marked improvement and I'm very glad I got it.
