My BRZ gets a brief 15 seconds of fame on the local news

I was instructing at a Tire Rack BMWCCA Street survival school this past weekend and a local news camera man showed up to take some footage. I was using the BRZ as the lead car in the tailgating exercise while they were shooting and was in a couple of shots that made the story. Link is below.

http://abclocal.go.com/wtvd/video?id=9074474

For those that are curious in the tailgating exercise the instructor in the lead car drives in one lane while the student "follows" in the lane next instructors car. They are encouraged to follow at an unsafe distance so that when the instructor brakes rapidly the students can easily see if they would have contacted the lead car if they had been following that close. The students go through the exercise several times with their in car instructor adding distractions which make it harder for the students to stop in time, demonstrating how playing with a phone, etc can lead to accidents.

Requirements for getting a DL in this country are such a joke: I still find it hard to believe that this sort of thing isn't a required part of the licencing process. Glad to see some people learning to drive, though.

Very cool. We need more of this in this country. Congrats on the "celeb status".

I instructed one of these courses last summer. The course will be mandatory when my kids reach driving age.

Thanks for the comments on the exhaust. It's a Nameless muffler delete pipe.
