Even the Yaris has Tokico HP shocks? Also any Steering feedback iprovements.

I can't believe there are no real performance shocks available for this car. The Koni inserts require hacking up the OEM struts or $1k for someone to sell them to you built up.

I am shocked (pun intended) with all the lowering/performance spring installs on stock struts, with good shocks the performance would be tenfold better.

Almost two years after the design engineer admitted the stock toyobaru car sits 1 inch higher than it should for consumer reasons and we still don't have an economical solution to fix that but my lowly Yaris has several options for quality yet economical stock suspension improvements.
And $1000 coilovers just aren't for a daily driver, they just don't hold up.

Very odd to me this situation. How difficult is it to insert the Konis at home in the garage? (I've done countless spring struct installs just never inserts.)

Also what can be done to increase road feel with the muted power assist steering? I know stiff shocks help ( made a big improvement with the Yaris e-assisted steering), but are there bushings I should be looking at?

Last what about the slight front back body shift when changing gears especially noticeable at lower speeds, you know the slack you feel in the u-joints? Anything to tighten that up

Figure I might as well work on this stuff while I wait on the Innovate SC.

Thanks.

1. Koni inserts are easy to install. You remove the stock front shocks, drill a hole in the bottom for the hydraulic fluid to drain out, grab a pipe cutter, cut/remove the top of the shock, insert Koni...insert... and then fasten with the (hopefully) included bolt at the bottom of the shock.

2. Increase road feel with Whiteline camber/caster tophats and TIC steering rack bushings. You can additionally add in some other bushings to both increase feedback and adjustability in the front control arms.

3. What? Get stiffer suspension.

You could have gotten all these answers by looking through threads on these exact topics...

The tooling to produce the front struts is very expensive. That's why koni does inserts. There will be more options but it takes time.

Turn in concepts has a steering rack bushings kit you may like. Also white line front control arm bushings will help steering feel.

Look into white line rear diff bushings too.

To be honest, for a $25k car the OEM dampers are very good.

The stock dampers are made by Showa and seeing how Subaru also uses Showa on the Sti I would assume the dampers are more than adequate
