Question for audio enthusiasts

Okay so no flaming me for want I'm wanting to get. My buddy gave me the sub bug again after not having one for awhile. I've got a 2250w planet audio class D mono amp that I've had for awhile and want to put it in the FR-S, I checked out crutchfield and can get a 10" 1000w RMS Alpine Type R and a matching Sound Ordinance ported box for just over 3 bills which made me very happy I've installed audio equipment before so that shouldn't be a problem I was just wondering if there was anything I needed to know before I purchase this setup, I've got the Bespoke audio upgrade in my car. It has sub RCA outputs correct?

I'm not planning on going crazy and running that kinda wattage all the time without an alternator or battery upgrade but I'd like to wire an amplifier controller to the front of the car so I can turn the gain up to show it off every once and awhile. I've looked at some controllers and they seem to be specific to that brands amp. Is there a universal one that'd work for an amp as old as mine? Also should I run straight 0 gauge wiring from the batter and for the ground or would this still be too big?

I'll gladly accept any other useful information that pertains to the setup I want as well.

Thanks guys

Wow, Planet Audio. There's a name I haven't heard in a long time. I remember their aluminum subs.

Hah yeah it's pretty old but still kicks like new since I've taken good care of it, at least the last time I had it hooked up which was about 6-7 years ago. Paid 360 bucks for it then, but it's been kept safely inside in my room and not touched much so I'm assuming it'll work like new.

Audio Control sells a few line level units that have a remote gain control. I‘m using their LC2i unit for my current setup. Theres a pic on the audio list.

Your amp prolly puts out around 8-900 watts tops, so I wouldn't be concerned with the car electrical unless you plan to run over 2k watts rms.

Yes bespoke has RCA out, you also have sub level control through it. If that isn't enough, just pick this up they work good. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...xess-AALC.html

As for the wire size, a real 4g wire would be fine, If you want to play it safe for anything in the future tho sure, go 0g.

Thanks man! Ill grab a good quality 4g kit then as I wont need anything bigger than this setup. So your saying 8-900 watts rms is what this amp would probably put out? Not too bad, would this be with the gain turn most of the way up?
