I'm dying over here!

Seriously.

I test drove one of these beautiful cars three months ago and was smitten with it. It was perfect. My first car was a first gen MR2, then a Miata and most recently an SVT Focus (I don't even want to talk about that). The FRS took everything I loved about my first two cars and expanded on it.

Friday I sold the Focus.

I've been working with a dealer for the past month or so and will be going in on Wednesday to do all the paperwork and haggling, and then the Whiteout will be here at the end of the month. It's as basic as basic can be, no options/markups, M/T.

I cannot remember the last time I was this anxious for something. I am completely beside myself with anticipation.

TL;DR
I want an FRS. I'm getting an FRS. I can't wait.

You'll love it. I felt the same way after my test drive. In my case, though, I waited 6 months (ordered in October last year and received last week)...that was my own choice, though - wanted to get through the MI winter with my old car before getting the new car

Yeah, it's tough to wait, especially for those of us that like instant gratification. You're in for a neat experience. The thing I especially enjoy is that after seven months of ownership it's more of a thrill today than when I first bought it.

I feel your pain! My car has been sitting at the dealer waiting for me to pick it up. Mother nature has not been to kind to us this year in MN, and I forbid to drive away with all the salt and sand on the roads. The car is here and I won't pick it up! Whats wrong with me?

I'm in the same boat as you (maybe literally) - my car is arriving in port either today or Thursday, and should be at my dealer late this month. Basic BRZ Premium with fogs.

I ordered mine Feb. 16th. It's been a long wait so far. Have fun when you get yours! I'm keeping my Focus though It's too cheap not to.

That's how I felt about the Miata, but unfortunately it didn't turn out to be a very good only vehicle. I genuinely looked forward to every time I drove it and am extremely disappointed that I sold it. I took it from bone stock to exactly how I wanted it over the course of four years and it was an extremely rewarding experience.

It's like being made to wait when you are really hungry. But there is something about the anticipation that is enjoyable. Savor the moment when you get the car.

I have been waiting since this car came out.

first it was for the other half to agree. Then it was to pa off my current car. Now, for almost 5 months (since December) already it's for the car to be manufactured.
Estimated Delivery date is now in June.

Congrats on this point, that's a harder feat than most people realize, took me three months to find a dealer that was willing to sell me the car that I wanted.

It's a Ford, that's what is wrong with it.

It just sucked. FWD, heavy, underpowered. Also ford's of that vintage are really showing their age now and aren't aging well at all. Everything rattled and as little things would start to go bad the ecm would react horribly causing surging and rough idling as well as massive random losses in power.

It's only redeeming fact was the 6 speed, which had really well thought out ratios, but we're coupled to a loose and vague cable shifter (especially after coming from the Miata, whose shifter has only been rivaled to me by the twins here).
