Orlando FL Go Karts. Need advice from a local
My girlfriend and I are spending the weekend at Universal Studios the first week of May. I figured we could make a side trip and I'd take her Go Karting. I've found these two tracks.
http://orlandokartcenter.com/ http://www.orlandogp.com/ Has anyone been to these tracks and if so, which one is better? I'm leaning towards the outdoor track because the karts seem to be faster and they run on gas. Thanks in advance! |

I have been to Orlando Grand Prix and it was a fun time. The smaller drift track was more fun than the Grand Prix track. I had a larger party so the smaller track accommodated only my group where the larger track included other groups. Unfortunately we got into a group of friends who ran the track and they let them do whatever. They sped their karts up to the max and allowed them to bump, but not us.
I have never been to Orlando Kart Center, but it looks like fun and the fact they can go 65+ never hurts. |

Kart center is outdoors so the go karts are faster and the track is a very nice large circuit. Be prepared to sweat a lot however.
Orlando GP is smaller but it is all indoors and air conditioned. The carts there are fast too but not as fast obviously as the outdoor one. |

I think Orlando Kart Center is significantly more fun than the indoor electric karts. I've been to both a few times, and I'm a much bigger fan of the Kart center.
As UnOvertime poited out, the electric carts sometimes don't get turned up to the max, or some do and others don't, so there is a huge disparity in lap times. |

Orlando Kart Center. While it's hot since it's outdoors, it's 100x more fun and the kart and circuit are much better. Gas powered karts so they're a bit quicker and you won't have the engine shutting down on your based on a controller like the indoor ones at OGP.
