To choose not a quiet solidarity in a cabin, but one filled with orchestra of engine noises to entice your senses.

Even if you have arrived, to feel you must continue the challenge and keep driving.

To choose a life, a road where you are possessed by so much passion, that you spend your days off, pouring your soul into the life.

If you choose so as I will, then we shall meet at the end of this road.

I wonder where your passion will take the 86.
The pleasure starts, now…

sweet 7 years of development , 5 years of enthusiasts following, 3 years of concepts, 1 year of crazy leaks, less than 6 months to wait, and the rest of our lives to enjoy a car that is not just a machine but a car that is apart of all of us, i believe with the right amount of love and sweat and blood, this car will be remembered

as a huge following for the Hachi Roku in Japan, in 20 years time there will be just as large following for this car in America and aswell with the rest of the world

I'm getting so irritated just reading this. The saddest part is that I can't go out and buy one right now, I still got to wait 5 MORE FRICKIN MONTHS.

These messages makes the wait longer and more painful.

Why would Toyota do this to us

And not one mention of push button starts or dual zone climate control... what a welcome respite ;-)

they want us to realize what they have, this car will be a part of history, just like the 67 mustang, the 69 camero, 1985 corrola gts, r34 skyline, rx-8, 69 charger, porsche 917, i could go on and on

This is what im talking about... a company that doesn't want us to experience the machine, but enjoy the soul of driving.

They could have placed ads like "This beast has 500hp! and 500ftlb tq and world class AWD, YOU WILL NEVER SHIT YOUR PANTS EVER AGAIN FOR ANY CAR!"

no, they gave us an abstract image of an emotion a feeling. Car companies don't do this..they sell cars...not feelings.

So it doesnt matter that this car only has 200hp or sports a boxer engine or has a low CoG. none of that matters. What matters is the FRS/BRZ/GT86 is going to take us on a journey that very few people now days experience, or can even remember it from the old days.

Thanks Subaru, Thanks Toyota

Thank you. Its all about the driver and car becoming one entity. Creating as pure of a car as they could, no high grip tires, no fancy electronics, no nonsense. I cant wait to get behind the wheel of my Frs!
