Megan racing coilover
My friend told me to check out Megan racing coilovers. Couldn't find any reviews on them. This is my first time lowering a car so I'm not sure what sprig rates are, much less which one is better. I don't plan on tracking and don't want to be slammed. Maybe 1.2-1.4" at the most for now. Also, I do not want to compromise driving quality either. Which one would be better? This car is my daily. So EZ Street or Street racing. All opinions are welcomed!

Get RaceCompEngineering RCE Yellow springs and my second choice would be Eibach Pro-Kit and third would be Eibach Sportline. Don't waste your money on coilovers if you want to keep the ride similar to stock and don't want to drop it more than you mentioned. Why spend thousands when you can spend a couple hundred?

Dont buy that crap unless you sont care about handling... Save your money and buy good stuff or just buy springs, it will be that much better

I watched a car with the megan setup, on the track today
while I am sure its great for the street, it fell way short at the track, looking at how the car cornered, I didnt drive it- but just looked less than optimally sprung/dampened you get what you pay for |

What would be the issue with running on the stock shocks? If the drop is not extreme, premature wear is not an issue. To be honest cheaper coilovers on a DD will be much rougher than stock. However I know that some have liked the BC racing coilovers so you might want to redirect there instead of Megans.

Below about 1.25" you will see wear from the posts on here. I thought about coilovers for my DD, but I don't want to spend $2500 on KW's. I also thought about fortune autos, but ultimately settled on RCE Yellow springs. Not the drop you are looking for. It is hard to get opinions on strictly DD setups since so many on here track/autox even on their DD.

I'm also interested in the Megan Street Series coil-overs. I don't track my car at all. I'm mostly for looks and some street performance.
Could the guy at the track possibly had his suspension dialed in wrong? The Street and Track series are supposed to be 32 way adjustable. Or could it just be because it is Megan they are supposed to not be so good. Not bashing, just want to hear if these are probable reasons. |

Most people will recommend Koni Yellows if you want to buy a budget damper. The following link will talk about quality of dampers. http://farnorthracing.com/autocross_secrets6.html |

Koni doesn't give me big enough of a drop. I don't want to jeopardize my stock shocks at all. That's why I wanna get coils. Which would be best for DD
Also what are spring rates? Lol when the description says 6k in the front and 8k in the back |
