Passenger elec window faulty with flashing switch

My passenger electric window only operates when I use that door switch (not when I use the drivers door switch) and the window does not automatically slide up after opening door.

In addition, the light in the window switch on the passenger door flashes on and off permanently when the ignition is on

My dealer doesn't know how to fix it - I have one of the first BRZ's in South Africa.

Anyone know how to fix this?

roll the window down - keep holding the switch a few more seconds after the window hits bottom then roll the window up again keep holding the switch for a few more seconds after the window reaches the top.

The fix should be in your owners manual... This should work unless it's a faulty switch...

I forget if the car has to be running or not... it might work either way but door needs to be closed.
