RTR or CS Wheel Recommendation?
I will make this simple as possible, please give me recommendations for wheel size and offset, models/brand of wheels you would use for running RTR/CS in autox.
Largest street tire I would run is 245 and don't think the OEM wheels would pull this off well. R-comp would be 215/225 tops. Thank you and have a wildly exotic day.

Aren't RPF-1's the go to for pretty much every class of racing for people on a budget?

17x7 +42 RPF1 w/ 225/45 Dunlop Z2's or BFGoodrich Rivals for RTR
You can't change wheel width/diameter and max offset change is +6 so this is the best setup to go with. You could go 235/40 Z2's as some have done as well, up to you. |

It took a long time for them to come out but the RPF-1 is the wheel to get unless you don't like the style or silver/black wheels. They are +42 offset which is the RTR/CS minimum.
Kosei has the K1-TS and the K4R as well but you might need a spacer to get those to fit with wider tires. I run a 245/40/17 Hoosier A6 on 17x7 +42 rims. That is "the tire" to use in CS. 235 is about the max you would want to run with street tires. |

Weight is the best reason, especially on low HP cars. I run 235/40 ZII'2 on 7" RPF/1's also. They are a ton lighter.

Weight and if you plan on using larger than 235 it might be close fitting in the front, if you are using the crash bolts. I have 225 BFG Rivals on the stock rims and there isn't much room between the tire and spring perch. The 42 offset helps with that.
