Why is Toyota doing this?
Just saw this Lexus IS-F Circuit Club Sport Concept, I get it Lexus wants to make the G or F to be like the M of BMW. But can they not copy what BMW is doing even the color look at it its a ripoff on the BMW M3 GTS even the color, come on Toyota your not chines, you got high paying engineers that can make a different identity for the IS-F, Toyota needs to stop this BS.

well the Lexus IS-F Circuit Club Sport Concept no official specs yet but I'm sure its just lighter w/ better ecu for better response and a stiffer suspension.
but the M3 GTS here http://www.autoblog.com/2009/11/04/bmw-m3-gts-unveiled/ |

prefer the lexus, as i hate bmw's but all car company's are fighting for similar markets nowadays and they're all doing the same thing and looking the same, making for a boring car market at the moment

Toyota does a good job of copying. Notice the profile of the FT 86 versus the Z car. Both are very similar. I always liked the looks of the Z but also felt it was too bulbous. That's why I prefer the thinned down FT.

I don't think the FT-86 looks like any other production car.
I don't see Nissan anywhere on the current concept, and I definitely do not see a bloated Z car in it. Maybe to remind you, this car is very similar in size to the Honda S2000. And its new unique look will make it sell. As for the Lexus - BMW thing... White would look better on both. /agreed |

Look at a side view of the two. Don't misunderstand me, I am not criticizing Toyota. They are perhaps my favorite brand and I love the fact it's only 1" different than the S2000. I'm also saying I always admired the Z but felt it was too bulbous (bloated if you will) and to me the FT 86 is much more to my liking.

I see a similar profile, but you get the same thing when you look at the Altima Coupe & Honda Accord Coupe & Toyota Solara Coupe. probably more cars can be added to this list, but non of those cars look at all alike, but have the same profile from a side view... just like 100's of cars on the road.
Besides a "general" shape, nothing matches. |
