multi position movement armrest?

so while at work i was parking a Lexus IS250(i can't remember exactly) and saw this. has any1 tried designing an armrest like this so we can:

1. slide back to still use the upholder
2. tilt back for full access

No one has done this yet, but I'm 1000% sure it will come eventually

This is exactly what I'm waiting on. The current OEM armrest looks great when closed, but when open, really seems to block the passenger's access and looks rather unfinished.

Yeah now that I have the car, I find the only cup holder I really need is the the front one (when in the front position) something like in that video would be a perfect solution for me. I don't think anything else works. I have a drink in the cupholder 100% of the time I am in the car practically.

Doors might work for bottled water but not my commutin coffee in the morning.
