Ruckus's Firestorm

I am starting to get some parts in so i figured it was time to start a log here.

Before my FRS I owned a 2009 GTi and never really even thought about buying another car. That is until my check engine light came on...

The GTi had about 50k miles on it and was paid off. I was in the process of moving from CA to OK when the engine light came on in AZ. As it turns out the GTi has an issue with some part in the intake manifold going bad every 30k which requires the replacement of the entire intake manifold (about $1500 when not under warranty). Thankfully the GTi was still under warranty so they replaced it for free. This got me thinking however, that it might be best to get rid the the GTi while I still have some equity built up it in.

So... RIP GTi...

Hello FRS!

^^That was taken the day I brought her home^^(excuse the crappy iphone pic)

I paid about about 30k for her. But I just walked into the dealership and bought her. All the dealerships around dallas where "modding" the cars to jack up the price. Some had aftermarket leather, while some had bodykits applied. This one had the TRD exhaust and a spoiler.

^^So first thing i did was Tint! ^^
Then I installed a JL Audio 8 inch + C5-653 sound system being pushed by kenwood excelon x450-4 amp plus some sound dampening in the doors and rear wheel wells. I could not be happier with the sound in this car right now! Well... I lie, there is a rattle in the rear deck (by the 3rd brake light) that i plan on fixing here shortly.

Installed:
-WedsSport TC105n 17x9 et35.
-Direzza sports 245/40/17
-Wedsport Red anodized wheel lugs
-AMR Engineering Coilovers
-Nameless Downpipe
-Beatsonic Sharkfin

In the mail: as of 26JAN14
Fidanza Flywheel
FullBlown Stage 2 Turbo Kit
FullBlown Catchcan
FullBlown Oil Cooler kit
FullBlown 3" Exhaust
FullBlown Built Block 9.1 CP Pistons
Clutchmaster 725 twindisk (FBM Spec)

That just happened... ';,,;'

So the next 2 months should be pretty exciting! LJ Said the block should be built this week and that he shipped a few goodies a few days ago. *Crossing my fingers for the exhaust*

More updates and pics to come.
AMS Engineering Coilovers.(Sitting 1.25 inch lower)

Vdubs are so much fun to drive but the reliability kills it. I am probably never buying another one

Yea, growing up my parents always had them. I have owned 3 of them. I think I would buy and Audi if i where to go that route again. VWs still hold a special place in my heart though!
