Thumbs down Titan Motorsports

So, here is my wonderful story about my month and a half long adventure with Titan Motorsports and my Nameless Axleback.

Started out, I ordered the 3" Inlet Nameless Axleback, Centered (Non-Offset) with 4 polyurethane hangers. I received my invoice, everything was correct on the invoice and I waited my month and a half long wait for it to be built.

On Thursday, March 14th, I received my Axleback, and was extremely excited, so I snapped pictures, mounted it, did a quick test drive and loved it.

After I had done this, my shipping paper at the bottom of the box showed "Nameless 2.5" Axleback" on the sheet. So I was thinking, "Well, maybe it was just a mistype" I got out one of those sewing machine type measuring tapes, wrapped it around the inlet pipe, and the circumference was 8.1". Diving that by Pi, that equates to 2.5".... I even measured the midpipe just to make sure I wasn't crazy and it came out to 2.057". I knew right away, this wasn't the 3" inlet that I ordered and it also was not centered. Granted centered vs offset, I would prefer offset after further review, which I was okay with, but I am not okay with the 2.5" inlet.d I took the Axleback off after that and put my stock muffler back on.

I spoke to Will at Titan and explained I received the wrong item. He then told me to talk to Jason at Nameless. I spoke with Jason, we discovered the order from Titan CAME AS A 2.5" Axleback and NOT 3". Needless to say, this all went on in the background as I thought everything was fine during the order process. Jason offered to upgrade me for free when I do go FI or trade out the shop 3" Axleback for the one I received since it is considered "used" since I mounted it and drove it a few miles. Considerate, but doesn't cover the fact Titan messed up the order.

I emailed their sales manager who then told me Will would contact me today to get this issue resolved. I was offered the 3" used Axleback again from Nameless or to SHIP the one I received (no mention of me being charged for shipping) back to Nameless then they'll give me the 3" Axleback on their shop car. Is it really hard to order another Axleback, have it shipped to me, and I ship back the one I received in error?

At this point, I'm beyond frustrated. I decided I'm selling my 2.5" Axleback and I'm fed up with dealing with Titan. They have no intentions on helping me get what I ordered BRAND NEW like I paid for. I have to take matters into my own hands, sell my Axleback, then go back on the backorder list to get the 3" one I want.

Avoid Titan at all costs. Buy directly from Nameless and don't let the middleman get involved. Awful experience and will not be purchasing anything from them ever again.

How much are you selling the axleback for? I might be interested.

Now that I filed a dispute through Paypal, they are refunding my full amount once I ship it back to them. The item is no longer for sale.

I'm glad we were able to come to a resolution, but I just wish we would not have beaten around the bush with "used" items as a workaround for a mistake. I probably won't purchase from them again due to my experience and having to put pressure on them to do what they should have done in the first place.

Shouldn't have had to resort to that, but it's all too common these days.

Going to order a 3" directly from Nameless when you get the refund?

I am, and at this point, I'll probably get the DP/OP and 3" Axleback package since I have the funds for that.

I was at Titan's shop March 9th. Big shop, seems like they do lots of high end stuff. I certainly expected them to stand up to their mistake and do good for you.

Too bad it only happened after you got Paypal involved....

Another great reason why I use it online. Excellent buyer protection.

Oh, and when I shipped it back, they managed to lose the 4 polyurethane bushings in the package. I called the FedEx place I had pack it just to be sure and the person that packed it remembers putting them in the box. It looks like I still ended up with a full refund though... Sigh... horrible experience. Now I get to wait again for another Axleback, but this time, it will be ordered properly through Nameless themselves.
