Favorite Wheel Design for the 86?
Hey all,
Out of curiosity, wanted to do a poll to see what everyone's favorite wheel design is for the 86. |

5 spokes all day long.
TE's and RG's are timeless. Six spokes will never go out of style as is referenced by all the replicas - Rota, Varstoen, etc.. Ten spokes are meh. More of a Euro style for me than a Japan style. Mesh is again, timeless. You can put on an old school LM style up to a newer RG-R or Ch and it will look great. I just love the simple design of less spokes. |

It really depends on the rims, I prefer 6 spoke for the most part, but 10 spoke looks really good on Volks CE28.

Re: 5 spoke wheels
Only work when you have a brake kit to show off, otherwise makes the brakes look puny since the spokes show them off. Re: 6 spoke wheels Timeless classic...that everyone and their mother has ripped off. Re: mesh wheels I'm considering these as mesh and V-spoke wheels; I love V-spokes personally. See many rip off wheels (TSW Nurburgring etc.). Re: my wheels I have Weds TC105N; they were similar in look to unavailable SSR Type F's and I like high spoke count wheels with thin yet not too thin spokes. The V-window made by the spokes looks nice. Other wheels like this include the XXR 527 and Rota Titan. 10 spoke wheels look great IMO. Re: 57 Extremes. A flat out ugly wheel. |

What about 8 spokes? Something along the lines of Compomotive or Watanabes? I really like the 16x8" Enkei Compes, just waiting to see what the +25 offset looks like.
