STI Push Start

Hi everyone;

I am trying to install my STI Push Start button in my AT BRZ. I am finding it difficult however to pull off the bottom centre console piece as per instructions. All of the information I can find tells me to either push out the USB port (which on the Canadian model is located in the glove box) or to just pull it straight out (which I am finding hard to actually get a grip on it). I did do some searching prior to posting and came up empty. I was wondering if anyone could help me out here.

Thanks in advance,
Inextirpable

Its in there pretty damn tight. I didn't swap that button out but had to run some wires through that area, and pulling it out was tough.

If you take off the plastic pieces on either side where your knee/leg would sit (not the traingle pieces that attach to either side that sandwich the console piece out, the longer plastic pieces underneath that), you can get your hand back there and kind of push it out a bit. I ended up using a plastic panel tool in conjunction with the method above. It was in there REALLY tight, and the center clip was what it was getting caught on.
