relocating the 3rd brake light
I know I'm not the only one who's annoyed by the position of the 3rd fog light.
It's always visible in the rearview mirror, so bad to look at and gives off that "cheapest solution" vibe. So I'm going to change that; I was thinking rear spoiler-integrated light. Should be easy as soon as one finds a fitting brake light BUT before I work my a$$ off in my small private workshop I was wondering whether some aftermarket suppliers are already on it. Anyone know anything about that? |

My thought is that the perfect place for the third brake light is where the Scion/Toyota/Subaru logo is on the face of the trunk lid. It would require extensive metal work but if I were "in" with a body shop I would take a third light from a different manufacturer and have some metal work done and mount it there.

No. What I was thinking about is removing the emblem, cutting into the metal where the emblem mounts and with further metal work install a light similar in size to what's in the car now flush with the metal. Then, using an adhesive attach the Scion logo to that light.
