Okay, am I just being ridiculous? (Cracked window weatherstripping)

Found this the other day when washing the car. Am I just being picky by having this replaced? Should I wait for it to get worse? The passenger side is perfect, although it is used a LOT less. Car has just over a 1000 miles on it and I've owned it just under a month. Its cracked for sure...I originally thought it was a razor blade mark from the tint, but its not a clean cut, its rigid and only shows with the door closed. When the door is open and the window is off it, it disappears.

Take it in and get them to replace it. I wouldn't wait.

Go get it replaced I had the same thing happen on mine. I'm fairly confedent we will see a revised part once enough of these are warrantied.Looks like there is more cracking right at the edge of the glass too. My passenger side weather strip was cracking and I barley ever use it.

Thanks guys. I'm pretty sure the part will need to be ordered, but I will take it down tomorrow morning. I saw it on Saturday and all I could say was, "already?!"

Yeah, I feel like if you have the warranty, and it isn't as close to perfect as possible, use that warranty to the fullest extent to keep you happy.

Funny thing is I said almost the exact same thing to a friend tonight. If I didn't have a warrantee, I wouldn't think twice about it. BUT, since I do have one, why not get it fixed for free?!

Can't you just wait until you have it in for regular service? I usually just keep a little list of things I want them to check out or document and get them done all at once instead of running to the dealer for every little thing...

I feel the same way, the rubber on this car is iffy, my weatherstrips look worn for a car that is so new and kept indoors. I apply GummiFledge to keep mine conditioned.
