What engine to swap...??

Ok, well i know most of yall don't think that an engine swap is right for anything, but be known that its the better way to get more power reliably.. Now i know that at least the 2JZ has been done several times already and it IS possible, but how people are all worried about the handling and dynamics of the car with such a large motor and all. I was thinking that the 3S engine series was probably doable... Either the 3S-GE (207bhp), or 3S-GTE (255bhp). Any idea's?? Thoughts??

I was thinking of a few engines to possibly swap after the warranty is gone in the FR-S.
1). 2JZ-GTTE
2). 1JZ-GTTE
3). 3S-G(T)E

This is going to just sound wrong to some of you, but i'm sure you could probably squeeze an LS1/3/6 in without too much of an issue.

Choices seem absurd to me. 3S-GE? Why not just throw an anchor under the hood with the stock engine? 1JZ and 2JZ, you wanna put an engine that's 6 cylinders long and upright in a space designed for an engine that's basically only 2.5 cylinders long and flat?

Good luck!

LS makes a ton more sense.

If you're dead set on a Toyota engine why not try and get a 3gr-fse?

Toyota, not Nissan. Only one t in the engine code regardless of number of turbos.

That said, tundra 5.7 ftw

Honestly, it sounds like an LS motor is what you're looking for.. Cheap, kickass aftermarket, still retains some fuel economy and good balance... Check out the BRZ06 thread in the brz general.. I don't see why a lot of people on these boards have such a dislike for the LS motors, who cares if it's a Chevy? Lol
