Admin Approval for Profile Pics?

I am curious to know if admins need to manually approve profile pictures. I have chosen one but it is not showing up in my posts.

there might be a post count requirement before you can have an avatar. similar to the thanks button, which requires you to have 10 posts before you can thank other peoples' posts.

Gotcha, thanks for the pro-tip. I was wondering how I could thank people for their posts. Do you know if there is a list of the special rules somewhere?

Looks like I was confusing avatar with profile picture. They have separate settings in your user control panel.
