I got a slight scratch dent...

I got a slight scratch/dent on the bumper above the plastic part, should I fix it?
Some drunk woman bumped on a red light. Cops came and had to detain her lol!




I wondering if I can use clearcoat filling to patch it up.

I'd be more worried about taking care of what is causing those swirls.

Not much point to fix parking nicks unless you can avoid street parking after you fix it or wear one of those bumper protectors.

That's a hard call. A pdr guy could easily fix the dent and you could use touch up for the scratch.

I'll pass on a tip a body shop guy gave me years ago. Don't use the brush that usually comes with touch up paint. Use a tooth pick and put the paint in the chip right up to the edge of the good paint but not on the good paint. Have the touch up just touching the edge. Let it dry. Apply again till the thickness of the touch up paint dries at least as high as the undamaged paint. Then use your very light compound or polish to blend. I've done that to some of my cars and motorcycles and when you're finished only you will ever know it was there.

I have seem some amazing things done with a skilled tech and a buffer with various compounds. The hard part in my opinion will be the toughest. Its plastic, textured and has a pattern.

I think the swirls are from the flash, I'll have to check again, thanks!

I might just do nothing or go to a shop I'll probably screw it up myself.

yesterday when i was backing up my dad decide to try and squeeze in the drive way and i was in my car getting ready to back up and i felt a bump and he didnt know i was backing up and made a nice little ding on my rear bumper glad it was not deep it was minor but cant be buffed out..

so i had some plasti dip and dip dip it and it looks very good and cant even notice it anymore.. plus i like how its more black/dark compare to the plastic light black/gray looking.. looks nice in person has more pop due to it darker..

now i have to be more careful it could of been worse ..

what do you guys think?

Yeah thanks.. couldnt even really tell before I even dip it unless you look for the dent/scratch. . My first time dipping too only used like 65% of a can.. ill just save the rest for other stuff or just in case it happens again praying it wont.. but hey thats life crap happens.. could of been worse. . My darn ocd kicked in when I felt that bump hit I tot my bumper was dented in like a bowl but when I saw it it was nothing..

I would just try and buff yours out of the paint but the plastic bumper is nothing to worry about by the looks of it..

Just have to be more careful where you park and avoid hump bumps/curves/ gravel flying in the freeway..already have a tiny ding on my windshield from one and saved it before it spiderman crack on me..
