what will be the BRZ first comparison test?

First drives where ALL well received.

Now the BRZ has to be compared to?

In its price range the Miata and GTI.

Those from across the pond chime in.

Who will it victims be? Or will other manufacturers take a pass?

Sadly, I think 90% of the comparison tests will be BRZ vs 86. The Cayman was the benchmark, so I can see some rags comparing the two and determining if the BRZ/86 is "good enough" in comparison when factoring cost tradeoffs; i.e. did they accomplish the closest possible to that benchmark while keeping it under $30k (or hopefully $25k!).

The Miata and GTI are, though similar in concept (fun to drive and handling focused), completely different cars when looking at a comparison standpoint. Roadster and hatchback vs. 2+2 doesn't happen often, but I'm sure it will eventually happen.

Genessis 2.0T vs FRS/BRZ would be a good comparison.

Faster cars don't mean a sure win in a comparison

Can definitely see a comparison test between the two. Just like back when the 350 vs s2000 a lot of people thought 350 was the winner because of more tq and hp.

I'm pretty sure the GC will lose in a comparison against this car because of the weight differences and size. I'm pretty sure the 2013 GC will be faster around a track but it doesn't mean it will win. Also because of the size differences it's not really a fair fight for both cars.

David vs Goliath? I'll take the BRZ's chances.
