Pioneer AVH-P8400BH

Pioneer AVH-P8400BH HEAD UNIT

I have given up on my Be Spoke .... however as a whole its serves its purpose I just want to uprgade to something else with more bells and whistles.

Has anyone had purchased this unit yet or anyone has installed it in there BRZ or FRS ?

When you install aftermarkert units does the USB AUXILARY ports still work ?

Thanks
Dan

I did the 4400BH. Had to hack the std dash ports to get them to connect to the industry standard ports on the back of the new deck. Everything works fine now. If you get it I can post my notes to help you mod the connectors.

I'm looking at the same unit, my main concern is what is required to get satnav on it?
Also trying to decide between the 8400 or the 4400, what diff is there but adv app mode?

You will need the AVIC-U250 for nav. Its a pretty easy piece to install and works pretty well. As for the differences, the 8400 has a better res screen, adv app mode, card reader and 2 usb 2.0 ports on back.

I'm considering the same unit, but also see the AVH-X8500BHS is coming out soon. Trying to see what the difference is between the two.

Looking at prices for the gps unit in Aus its $999 which is more damn expensive then the unit itself! I hate that.

I think in Aus i could get away with the 4450, I dont need 8450 features like higher res screen, adv app mode or sat radio.

All i need is some RCA preouts and hack into the factory usb point.
