Any issue running direzza sport z1 star specs 245/265?
I have a set of staggered wheels (18x8 +35 and 18x9 +38). I was wondering if I'd have any issue running a 245/40/18 up front and a 265/35/18 in the rear? Looking to get a set of Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Specs. I will have Eibach R2 coilovers installed.
I know they tend to run a little wider and have a pretty flat sidewall. Is anyone running this set up? Any issue with fit or performance? I'm guessing I'd give up a little steering feel/feedback up front for some additional grip.

It's going to understeer with staggered tires. From a performance standpoint I'd get the same size wheels front and rear with the same size tire as well. If you love your wheels, I guess you can still run the same size tires front and rear, or just go 255 in the back.

From experience, those tires are very wide. Based on some test-fitting I've done (HERE), I think the rears may have trouble clearing the fenders. Your +38 offset wheel sticks out 4mm more, plus the tire is wider by a few more mm than the tire I tried.

I plan to go w/ the innovative supercharger kit when available so I want as much rubber out back as I can get without and rubbing or issues.

![]() I can see wanting big rubber out back, but keep it close to the rubber in the front! If you want to have no issues, I would stop at 255 in the back. |

Yeah 255 (rear) seems to be about the max to be safe. I'm just wondering if I should go with a 235 or a 245 up front. I just got my wheels today, they look great.

So if I got 255/35/18 in the rear...
Should I go 245/35/18 or 235/40/18 in the front?

NEVERMIND - Dunlop doesn't even make the fronts in the 245/35/18 fitment. I guess I'll go with the 235/40/18. It makes the front just a smidge taller than the rear but I'll have coilovers.

I originally thought I could get a deal on the StarSpecs but they are sold out. I plan to go with the ZIIs.
