First batch of Koni inserts are in the states and shipping to vendors and distributors now.

We kind of cheated and drove 20 minutes down the road to pick ours up.

Are there instructions anywhere on how to disassemble the OEM struts and install the Koni yellow inserts? @Racecomp Engineering , @Turn in Concepts

What can we expect from the Konis plus the RCE Yellows? Stiffer than stock, but what else as far as the detailed specs of the combination goes, and how does that combo compare with a quality coilover (KW, RCE, Eibach) set in regards to adjustability and ride quality?

I'll let TIC comment on the 2nd part since they have the only time spent with Koni and RCE Yellow at this point! Obviously you lose out on height adjustability to a coilover, but since we're sticking with a mild drop and medium spring rates, ride quality should be very good since you have some decent travel left and on the softer end Konis can be pretty comfortable. And when adjusted up, the Konis can get quite firm if you need them to be. You're just limited in spring rate compared to a coilover which can easily swap to stiffer springs.

Want to try these with our Hotchkis Springs and camber plates. I too am interested if they have the same fully collapsed length as OE. It would be nice to have a slightly shorter shock for lowered cars.

Dumb question - I thought the rear was a full shock replacement? Where is the spring perch?

Looks like the seat for the spring perch is there, just gotta put it on the shock.

Similar question to ATL BRZ except in the opposite direction...

TiC, please provide review when you can. I'm wondering how much different/better a koni/aftermarket spring combo (eibach pro, RC yellow for example) is compared to stock/aftermarket spring combo (again eibach pro, RC yellow for example).

Koni with RCE Yellows

After a few months of testing this suspension setup we have completely fallen in love with it. The ride quality is very similar to stock and the car is quite comfortable to drive making this setup perfect for a daily driver. As expected, the only noticeable difference in comfort is found over large bumps and rough patches in the road however we found that for street driving, setting the dampers to their lower settings minimized the increased roughness of the Konis compared tot he OEM setup.

When you push the car in the turns, the fun really begins, much of the stock body roll is eliminated. The responsiveness of the car at turn in is astounding! The nimbleness that the car has in stock forum is not lost with this setup. The car can still be thrown around and controlled but is now even easier to control at the limit. Whether you are tracking, Auto X, or just hooning the car is simply more fun to drive, and much faster!

For anyone looking for a setup that looks great, performs great, and feels great this is the setup for you.
