Scion of orange

Went to their dealership yesterday. So I leave my car and they check up on it. The service guy name aaron calls me and tells me that the tire is puntured and needs replace the tire. Then I ask him if its repairable, he says no. :sly: I ask him why? He tells me the nail is in a position where its urpairable. So in my mind maybe this guy is right. So I go pick up my car; He tells me to replace the tire cost $215 dollars. I told him can I see it. He says yes. Then he shows me where the nail is and its on the first thread outer layer. I ask him isnt that rapairable he says no. So he tells me to comeback wednesday to replace it, I said ok. So I decided to go to a tireshop that I always went when i had flats. So I go there and I ask him; is this repairable? He says yes. I said how much? He said 10 bucks. :banghead:...I wad sooo pissed this mothafcker lies to me in the face and im not ever want that motherfckr to take care of me ever again. Hope you read this scion of orange.

Toyota/Scion of Orange is terrible.

I will NEVER go there between the lying to me about having my FR-S on "pre-order" with a deposit for over a month, and them "repairing" windows on another car and returning it to me without checking that the windows actually work.

Got my FRS elsewhere, and I literally drive down to Irvine to have my service done even though I am only a few miles from Toyota of Orange.

My friend went here for service on his tC. While waiting, he was asking if he can look at the FRS to see if he was interested in purchasing it in the future, as it a potential option. He stated that he isn't ready to buy any time soon, but it was a car he was definitely considering. He asked if he could test drive it and they said if he wasnt buying then they didnt have time for him. I'm down the street, but horrible dealer.

I'll go to Cerritos

I went there because i though that i had a malfunction for that tire because ive had that light indicator on but my tire wasnt deflating. So i though it would be a ecu malfuction or car just throwing a wrong light.

It very well may not have been repairable. If the dealer does a patch and a plug then it can't be anywhere near the shoulder or sidewall of the tire. The reason being is that they have to drill a clean hole through the puncture and it must go through the steel chord of the tire which is under the tread except for the outer edges. If not the hole will flex and leak again or rupture. Trust me I do tires for a living.

15 years later, not much has changed. But these are salesmen and service advisors, they come and go and don't always represent the entire dealer.
I went through two salesmen there and one advisor got written up thanks to yours truly.
After that they bent over backwards and treated me pretty well.

^^^ I also agree from a dealer point of view. The FARTHEST outboard I will go on any tire patch/plug is 2 1/2'' from the edge of the tread. Your best bet if you ever have a tire puncture is to replace the tire.....

I highly doubt the guy was trying to screw you on a tire that they would be lucky to make $20 on you purchasing it from them on....

Btw to everybody paying for flat repairs: Discount Tire fixes flats for free! Whether or not you buy the tire from them. And if they fuck it up somehow they will give you a new one.

i think this thread would be better suited in the Socal Region section since the dealer is in Socal. You can tell the local OC residents about it there.
