This is a good indication for Subaru Aus surely making the same decision. They would be mad not to import it. The all new stand-alone (break away from Imprezza) WRX/STI is still a few years off and the BRZ would fill that hole nicely.
I agree, the BRZ will help keep the 86 price competitive. Although I think it will be the buying power and market share of Toyota Aus which will ultimately decide the BRZ's price. |

Well that's the way I'm leaning.
I'm interested in the engineering, which was done by Subaru. The image and spirit Toyoda talks about is actually a massive detractor for me. I can see the 86 being big on the drift scene, which despite previously owning an RA28 and spending years instructing at Mt Cotton is an image I don't want to be associated with. That ... and the vulgar red interior. |

i just want the godamnit $130 fixed price servicing lolol
i can't stand the black horizontal bar on the BRZ bumper. otherwise i'd probably pick it just for WR Blue. so i'm going for the 86 in white now. Hachi roku sounds so much cooler than BRZ..... and i dun mind the red interior as i used to have a Type R. |
