Auto to Manual

Alright well, at this point in time I really wish I would have waited the extra month or two and bought a manual transmission FRS.

I thought at first sense this is my daily that an automatic would be perfectly fine, which by all means is amazing and great!

But the thing is i'm 17 and I don't plan on getting a new car at least until i'm out of pharmacy school in 2019 and I still plan on keeping my FRS just getting another car.

So my question to you is does anyone know somebody that wants an AUTOMATIC FRS that drives a MANUAL now?

Mine is raven and around 4k miles

I live in st. louis, MO

If you would like to discuss anything feel free to PM me.

I just want to learn how to drive manual and not be learning for the first time on my NEXT car.

Check the Classifieds section. There might be someone there.

Another option would be to go back to your dealership and trade your current FRS in for a manual one. You'll lose some money in the trade but at least you'll be getting another new one.

I initially thought about the auto (I've only driven motorcycles, never a manual car). I asked kindly to test drive the 6MT FRS. Stalled it twice, but it's been smooth sailing since then. Yet to have any rollback on uphill starts, although I do get anxiety, and sometimes screech the tires.

So I do have moments where I wish I had the auto, but 9/10 times I prefer the 6MT. The only other benefit to the auto is that they're relatively rare. I've seen maybe 3 at the dealerships.

but smoothly catching the clutch at a stop going uphill is one the best feelings ever... after a clean rev match and after a heel-toe though.

MT 10/10 for me hahaha

Yup, it was just a fluke that I happened to stumble upon a manual in SoCal. Tons of automatics though.

That's because most if not all the pre ordered ones are/were MT.

Luck? I got my M/T because I prayed to God to give me an FR-S with the options I want and the color I wanted. And thats exactly what I got. True story.

A dealer told me that about 70% of FR-S's made are manual.

(For those with 1337 math skills, that leaves the other 30% for autos)

Look for a trade in classifieds. be careful someone doesn't try to dump their abused MT on you though

I didn't bother praying because the only one that ever answers is my bank and my wallet.

I kind of sort of maybe wish I could change to auto for potential future life changes that require another person who can't drive stick to drive it. Oh what a dilemma...

Its official everyone! God cares more about getting a random person the car they want then taking care of the people living in hunger, misery and violence throughout the rest of the world!

you JUST noticed? have you not seen the grand churches that god's little people built for him while some other kids live in nothing but a grass hut. God likes big houses and nice cars too. God especially likes the twin 86.
Off topic.

I've been wanting to do this myself. I don't mind the fact of losing some money in the process but what has me concerned is the amount of miles (I'm at 10,000 now), the fact that I took the time to fatmat the entire car, managed to put a burn hole under the driver seat and the usual wear and tear on the interior. I'd probably lose my ass on a trade-in for a manual wouldn't I?
