MY14 Production?

Hey so my dealer just told me that I wont be getting my BRZ until july or august

So it got me thinking, I might as well just wait for next year's model instead of this year if this is the case.

Any idea on when production dates begin for MY14 models fort he BRZ/86/FRS?

Thanks.

Should be around July for 2014 MY. I agree, you make sure you grab a 2014, even if you have to wait an extra month or two.

I live in Australia where the BRZ was released around July 2012, I would assume it will be a little later for us than the US?

I'm not sure what Subaru's production changeover is, and it's not always constant, but Toyota typically starts next model year production in August.

If your dealer told you to expect a July/August delivery then it would be a 2014MY model. We anticipate that any deliveries past May will be 2014MY cars.

Well here in australia we don't actually have a dealer for Subaru BRZs per se, the purchase process is all done online and only pick-ups are done at chosen dealers.

And my BRZ is now for delivery in July from August. I have also asked the online sales co-coordinator (there is one lady doing all the work) and she has informed me that although still not confirmed MY14s are probably going to be delivered around December for Australia,

It has to come earlier than this right?

Wait. The twins are preemies. At least a year to get theis shit in a group.

Still a nice car, but lots of issues.
The crikets gotta go
The grind in to second gear has to go
The CEL has to go
The window issues need to go
The trunk spotweld issue has to go
All teething issues that should be resolved with a year in the incubator.

My advice to any buyer would be to monitor the warranty and TSB section of this board, assume you will get all of the issues, and decide if you can live with it.
The traction nannie that wont go away has to go

Heard from local dealers that both cars will increase in price for 2014.

My dealer's 2013 allotment is sold out, so I'm on the list for a 2014. However, since no information on 2014s is available yet, he can't even tell me what the ETA is. When do they usually announce info for next year model's? April/May? The wait is killing me!!!
