From what I have gotten from others its damn near impossible even if its just for the look.I'm looking for a way to turn the hvac controls into a touch screen but no luck yet.
No one say get or should of gotten a brz like an ass, clearly that's not helping. |

Nothing is impossible. Expensive as hell and a ton of work, probably. Doubt it's impossible. I'm curious to see if anyone has done it and how as well. I'd love that over the ugly controls now.
BTW, if some ass did say "should've gotten a BRZ", he'd be an idiot because the premium BRZ comes with the same HVAC controls as an FR-S.

Haha I cant see it being THAT difficult... Lots of parts are interchangable, I just haven't gotten alot of time to take things apart. Its the only part on the int I dont like! the faux fiber is better looking imo

Well being that it's a subaru built car it PROBABLY means:
The wiring harnesses aren't compatible. Subaru for some stupid reason doesn't include non needed wiring to upgrade parts, the harnesses are trim specific. They are also RHD and LHD specific. So you probably need a whole new complete wiring harness, or you need to custom make and run all new wiring for the HVAC. Either a lot of money buying a complete new wiring harness, completely removing the dash, or a lot of time with the owner's manual trying to figure out what wire needs to go where. If there is an aftermarket wiring company, I can see them making some bucks by figuring it out.

best bet would be to get ahold of a junked brz and pull the parts. If you could get the entire a/c assembly (for the dual zone) and the wiring, that would do it. You could order all the parts new but it would probably cost way more than it's worth and it'll be a challenge to figure out every single part that's needed for the wiring and whatnot.

Wish someone state side with a BRZ would be so kind to take their dash apart to reveal what parts are needed! Does anyone know of an updated Subaru EPC that's online? That might help shed some light since I can't find an updated Toyota EPC.
