Recommended PAINT SHOP GTA?
Anyone have a good paint shop to recommend in the GTA?
I need to paint additional aftermarket parts (eg. Rear spoiler) but needs to be SATIN WHITE PEARL... Apparently its super hard to match and even Toyota said they cant get it 100% perfect. Anyone know a good place? Please lemme know thnx |

Matching that satin white is an absolute nightmare. I've seen it attempted by quite a few guys, none perfect. The best I saw was from Pfaff Collision in Newmarket; it's pricey though.

Kevin's right. Any paint with that amount of pearl is going to be very hard (almost impossible) to match perfectly. Keep in mind, the fact that you will be painting an ABS/urethane/fiberglass spoiler, will result in colour differences from the trunk you will be placing it on (regardless of how perfectly mixed/layed the paint is). Just take a close look at your front and rear ABS bumpers, they do not match the rest of the body.

^^ good point; they will need to mix in a flex agent which adds an inherent slightly yellow hue to any white paint. Just like your bumpers.

the colour for the bumper is almost always a differnet shade than the metal surfaces.
it's what happens when you paint plastic. go to any dealership lot and look at the cars. you'll see the colour difference. |

id have to say Pfaff as well, my dad had severe damage on the driver side of our rabbit. when we got it repair Pfaff was cheaper then any other vw repair it was 8k for metal repair priming and paint on the whole right side from bumper to bumper and the paint match was perfect, they also do wraps to, and they told me average price was about 3k for full car wrap, so for the wing to get painted it cant be too much.
i will have a guesstimate on price for the aftermarket parts painting by tomorrow EDIT: just got a response for Pfaff for your example of the spoiler they said $480 plus HST Last edited by logoris; 02-05-2013 at 03:00 PM. |
