Who likes blue? FT-86 SpeedFactory Review - Standard R3 Coilovers

The story about how we came across this company is a decent story in it's own, but there is always time for that later if you see us at a track event somewhere in the 48 states.

What we have here is a coilover system from a company called Standard Suspension. Now, we know better than anyone how many options there are out there for coilovers. So, when we laid eyes on these we almost passed them up. A couple things set them apart, though, which caught our eye.

Below are photos of these great coilovers and in them you can snag a glimpse of one of the main features that really set these guys apart, and to think it was so simple...

Dust boots, end links, camber plates, and more...

This is the R3 coilover built by them and offers 10 levels of dampening adjustment as well as full height and front camber adjustment.

Front top mount includes an adjustable camber plate
Front suspension is mounted on pillow ball
Adjustable dampening force (compression and rebound)
Standard Suspension exclusive scaled system for easier installation
Full length adjustment system on lower mount
Separate ride height and spring pre-load adjustments
Forged aluminum top mount
Steel lower mounts on some applications
Aluminum alloy construction for spring seat and locks

Stay tuned for updates.

You got it. Should help simplify install.

They have tons of history in racing and other applications. I'll dig up some info here in a bit.

Out of curiosity - are these built in Korea? Where are they built exactly? Can the body be ordered out of aluminum as opposed to steel?

It reminds me a lot like the Powertrix coilovers (not sure if they're being made for the FRS/BRZ yet)

How do these compare to other popular coilover systems like the Eibach multipro R2, KW V3, and the RCE Tarmac 2?

These are single adjustable "pacific" coilovers like Stance, Fortune and BC. Not on the same level as what you mentioned.
