Hood sound dampener - Toyota GR86, 86, FR-S and Subaru BRZ Forum & Owners Community

Maybe i just imagined reading this, but I could have sworn the GT86 models had a sound dampener underneath the hood for a bit less engine noise. Is there anyone selling this or know where I could look. Or am i just being crazy

Yeah my Brz came with it It's basically padding covered the same way as the trunk carpeting or w/e. For some reason the frs comes with neither one though

The USDM cars come with one panel under the hood, the JDM(/EDM?) cars come with two. The OP is also talking about the hood, not the trunk....

I'm referring to the hood it has padding for sound dampening on the brz. But like you said it is only one panel didn't know they had two in japan.... But in all honesty it couldn't be that hard to fabricate your own sound dampening
