Ice + FR-S = FUN!
Freezing rain came down last night and encapsulated my car in about 1/4 inch of ice, took a while to scrape it all off. After a few donuts in an empty parking lot went home and surprisingly it handled VERY well.

I've been driving around a lot in the snow lately, so much fun. I was going up a hill in 5th gear going about 40 and the car was still able to spin the rear wheels at like 2,000rpm, it was awesome. I have also been loving all the gravel on the roads, so easy to get beautiful drifts going without much effort. Driving when it's really slippery has certainly helped to hone my RWD skills, as this is my first RWD car. Love it!

I don't like freezing rain in any car. That reminds me, I have to put my power scraper back in my car. This one is just a Google'd pic (mine is out of the package and is world's strongest window scraper).

I had to do the same thing this morning. It sounded like I was breaking glass when I was scraping it off!

In such weather conditions I always miss the heated windshield which even my Ford Focus has... and rain sensor (auto wipers).

I agree, the reason is that the car handles predictably in snow. With front wheel drive it is a bit harder to tell when you are going to lose adhesion, are where you are going to go from there.

all you ppl saying its fun to drive in the snow... idk about you but i'm terrified out there w/ the icy weather. it takes me like 20 seconds just to get to 15mph from a stop unless i put chains on. the sooner this damn snow goes away or that i can buy a winter beater, the better

Just get studded tires. Can't put chains on the FR-Z.
