Angry rats or mice chewing under hood

I had my FRS in for its first oil change, had to go to a Toyota dealer, which didn't sell Scions. They managed to do it by getting two parts, filter and plug from the local Subaru dealer. They changed their minds about charging me for it, when I suggested I would be contacting Toyota Canada. (I did get 5 free oil changes on purchasing the car)

They found rodent chewing under the hood. I am not a mechanic type so I think this describes where it is (the large plastic cover, about 18" x 18" could be the manifold cover??) anyway, does anyone have any suggestions on getting rid of these critters? I am trying rat traps, as it is parked outside, no garage yet.

Thanks

Get some mothballs and bag them with holes; tie them down around the corners of the engine bay as most dealerships would recommend.

Don't worry, they will go away once the weather warms up. Check your air filter for possible nesting.

I've had this problem before but thank goodness they didn't chew on anything. (Had to park outside for just one night)
