For anyone looking to get into DSLR photography you can't beat the Canon Rebels IMHO. I sold my XSi and picked up a T4i around Black Friday. It's a fantastic camera.

To previous poster: T4i has a couple distinct advantages over T3i: Touch screen, 9 cross focus points vs. 1 (better/faster focus acquisition), faster start-up time, and the ability to use stepper motor (STM) lenses for quiet continuous focus during video shooting. If I already owned a T3i the decision to upgrade to the T4i would be rough, but if I didn't it's a no-brainer to go with the T4i.

To the OP: GLWS!
