Edmonton is too cold for my radio

Had a funny moment today, went to start my brz and the radio promptly turned itself off with a "temperature too low for operation" error. About 15min later the navigation unit popped back on saying "temperature normal". Even my friggin radio hates the cold! Lol

Should have asked for the cheap oem head unit in the frs instead of a big led distraction, this thing is a trooper in the -30s.

It's the display that is temperature sensitive. Why they disable the radio as well is a bit of a puzzle.

Yeah it's most likely the display , their could be internal RCR's in the deck that don't like certain temps and hence the code .
