GT Sound Matt Install
I received a sample of the Gt Sound Matt and thought I would put of a few images. 10 Square feet managed to cover the back of the boot and I also placed a section across the back of the rear seats inside the boot.
It did make some difference to my exhaust noise but I think it would have to be more comprehensive to block out any more sound. But I thought it was a good start. Its very easy to apply and has a sticky back to keeps it in place. I didn't have to stick it to the back of the seats it slid between the outer carpet and hard shell of the seats. A few pictures here for the the rear boot install. Easy to do, just unclip the carpet, I used a plastic removal tool ($3 internet) and traced the shape of the back carpet insert onto the GT Matt. Easy to cut out with standard sizers. it does say to undercut it slightly so the matt doesn't show at all. I used a screw driver to punch holes where the clips go as the matt is quite tuff and doesn't pierce easily. the matt comes with a roller to get any creases in the matt out. The last image was taken before the roller was used, it does almost finish up completely wrinkle free. ![]() ![]()
