wire routing for door speakers

whats the easiest way to connect aftermarket door speakers. I tried to go thru the side grommet, but just cant feed the speaker wire thru. gets stuck in the first bend. i couldnt take out the grommet aswell and didnt wanna force it too much as theres little space and mite be hard to get it back on.

should i just tap the existing speaker wires instead? and im having trouble finding them. the original wires are brown and white, but cant find any combination of that once its passed the gromet. theres 2 brown and 2 white, and both are seperated to a different harness.

I got it through the side grommet. Its a real PITA. I think the key was to unhook the rubber boot.

I like to use a welding rod to stick through the boot.

Then tape the wire to the rod and pull it through. Little lube helps here.

The boot pops back into the door easily, but getting it back on the car is a bitch unless you pop out the white thing that the boot goes on. Pop it off the car and make sure you line of up right with the boot, as it will only go on one way. Then it pops back on easily.

I like to use a wire clothes hanger. I just straighten it out and make a loop on one end. I'll feed the loop through the grommet, hook the wire to it and pull it through. It's pretty easy.
