The BRZ has a wait time of 9 months +, says so on their website, regardless of colour. I think some members here said upwards of 12 to 13 months. But it's subject to change. I was bumped up to April '13 from June. Though I ordered in August.
The 86 however I'm unsure, it was an 18 month wait for some (GTS) but Toyota just received an extra 1800 cars or so. I guess would be much quicker than the BRZ. You can pick up a 86 GT within a few weeks aswell. |

The GT waiting list for a manual seems to be close to 6 months, especially around the major centres - I doubt you would get one in a few weeks based on the comments throughout these forums. There are guys who ordered in July and August who are still waiting. The auto is easier to get hold of but I put a guy on to one as he kept being pushed back and the earliest date they gave him was April (with no guarantee it would happen by then).

I ordered my GTS Automatic in late November and the dealer informed me that it should arrive by March/April.
Apparently wait times for Manual Models are much longer then Automatic Models. However saying that, I am half expecting a call from the dealer in the new year informing me I wont be seeing it until May/June or something. This is purely going off all the comments I have seen on here. |

Hi guys, I'm telling people up to 18 months for a GTS and between 6-8 months for a GT if you order now. More of the original allocation has/is arriving and Toyota have increased production as much as possible to meet demand. The reason we're so ambiguous with our delivery timeframe information (dealers) is the majority of the cars coming in the next few months or so will most likely (i can't speak for the other dealers) be going to those already waiting in line. We have kept delivering cars the way we told all our customers we would and it's been and is being done based on our customer order dates with first in, best dressed as our policy. We've had the opportunity more than once to sell any extra cars that came along to new customers, however, we believe that is an unfair practice and chose not to.

Good on you for that. Some haven't done this and my GT order from July still didn't have a production/delivery date despite the extra allocation so I had to pick one up from elsewhere. At least the dealership understood and were happy to return my deposit with no dramas.
