I do wonder if they are going with the simple '86' (hachi roku) name for Japan, it should work better for their market than the UK or US. I'm intrigued to know what they might come up with for the US market.

Interesting to see what they do for AU as well. 86 or GT86 is fine for me. I did get FT86 plates so I'd prefer if it's the former rather than the latter.

I guess I have to settle with either the FR-S or BRZ.

Ironically there wasn't too much ported from the 86 besides being RWD, heads by Yamaha and a trunk.

I wonder what model name the US is going to get and if they're going to keep the FR-S.

I wonder if they are showing it with the TRD wheels at TMS then?

The spec sheet says 17". God I hope it's 17s.. 18s I'll be selling on ebay as soon as I can remove the damn things from the car.

Im happy with GT-86 name. Japan to be called 86 and US is FRS. I think the rest of the world will be GT86.

I wonder if the US will have a diff steering wheel logo and no 86 badge on the front fender...

If that's the case, the US is getting screwed A-G-A-I-N!

New specs...comes with staggered 18 inch wheels...215/40/18 front and 225/40/18 rear!

Yeah...for those of us who like 18 inch and not 17 inch...

Come in scion and Subaru! Bring it!

I think you will be out of luck...looks like they upped the specs...you might have to pull off those staggered 18 inch rims..lol.

You will get good money off of off eBay for them!

There are some good lightweight 18 inch rims out there....expensive but nice..

You do know the Subaru is named the BRz which is not as cool as Toyota 86 or Toyota GT 86...

They could keep the 86 badges on the fenders since the engine is 86x86...
